SCHHA Mission
Founded in 1987, SCHHA exercises sovereignty on Hawaiian Home Lands in service to the well-being of HBAs and enrolled members of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920 (HHCA).
In 2023, the following SCHHA Council Members were elected to a 4-Year Term.
MAILE LUUWAI
Vice Chair and Council Member – Representing the SCHHA Mokupuni of Hawaii Island
Vice Chair Lu`uwai is President of her local HBA where she resides on Hawaiian Home Lands in Panaewa, Hawaii Island. She is a Project Administrator for the City and County of Honolulu specializing in federal grant administration and compliance.
KAINOA MACDONALD
Council Member – Representing the SCHHA Mokupuni of Maui/Lanai
Council Member MacDonald is a member of her HBA dedicated to over 29,000 native Hawaiians waiting for an allotment of Hawaiian Home Lands to reside, farm or ranch. She is an avid volunteer and community organizer on the island of Maui.
The SCHHA is an all-volunteer HBA and coalition. Its Chair and Vice Chair, along with its Council Members set the course and actions of the SCHHA.
