SCHHA Mission


Founded in 1987, SCHHA exercises sovereignty on Hawaiian Home Lands in service to the well-being of HBAs and enrolled members of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920 (HHCA).

The following SCHHA Council Members are serving a 4-year term from 2023 to 2027.

The SCHHA is an all-volunteer Homestead Beneficiary Association and coalition. Its Chair and Vice Chair, along with its Council Members set the course and actions of the SCHHA.

Public Policy

Advocacy with local, state, and federal policy makers.

Vote2Rise Initiative

Civic engagement, voter registration and voter education.

Consultation

Convene consistently with and among each of the five Island Regions or Mokupuni.

Annual Hawaiian Home Lands Sovereignty Conference

Since 1987, SCHHA convenes its annual conference to bring HBAs, enrolled trust land members, families, partners and stakeholders together.

Periodically, SCHHA produces resources about Hawaiian Home Lands, HBAs, and its work to advance its mission.
