Mission


Founded in 2020, Hawaiian Lending & Investments (HLI) is dedicated to providing financial services and capital to residents and mercantile businesses on or near Hawaiian Home Lands. We believe access to capital facilitates economic prosperity in our communities.

Leadership


HLI is led by a three-person executive team.

HLI is governed by a six-member board of directors with five designated seats representing each of the island regions or mokupuni and one executive of HCDC as its sponsoring entity.

Programs & Services


Financial Services

HLI provides financial assessments and coaching to support Native Hawaiian families in strengthening their financial well-being.

Grant Programs

HLI provides grants to improve financial stability, including for down payments on home purchases or new constructions.

Lending Services

HLI originates consumer, housing, agricultural, and clean energy loans on or near Hawaiian Home Lands.
